At dinner Lavinia had another surprise, “Clarence, did you ever get the opportunity to meet the businesswoman who set that couple up with you and our mutual friend?” I shook my head. “You will have the opportunity to meet her tonight. She’s here.”

I felt no sympathy for the businesswoman. I blamed her for setting the train of events in motion that brought me to this house. She knew what the Gothic Girl was about. Why would she send that square suburbanite couple to her with a home invasion, torture and gang-rape scenario? What the businesswoman did was similar to sneaking onto a movie set and replacing the blanks in the actor’s guns with real bullets. I felt that if anyone in the world deserved to be a ‘guest’ in that house, it was the businesswoman.

I was uncomfortable sitting next to Lenore. Both of us had been victimized by Lavinia’s cruel game; she used her game to make Lenore and I brutalize each other while at the same time degrading ourselves through our brutality. She never looked at me once during dinner. Selene, however, glared at me throughout the entire meal. She looked like she wanted to jump over the table and stab me to death with her steak knife. I was beginning to wonder just how deep I would have to dig in order to reach the “little girl” that Lavinia claimed was inside of her, and how many teeth she would try to pull out of my head before she revealed her sensitive side.

There was little talk at the table. When dinner was over, Antonija told everyone goodnight and left the dining room with Lenore. Lavinia looked around the table, “It would be rude to keep our guest waiting for too long. Let’s all go out to the shed and get to know her a little better.”

The businesswoman stood naked and shivering against the wall. Her hands were tied to a large steel loop above her head. Her mouth was covered with duct tape. The woman was a bleach blonde with a fake tan and a body that told you she spent many hours in the gym perfecting it. My eyes wandered over her body. She had medium-sized breasts with small dark brown nipples, a well-defined stomach, shaved pussy and muscular thighs. Her blue eyes were open wide in terror and confusion, they darted back and forth from one of us to the other before finally locking on Lavinia.

Lavinia walked up to the woman and pulled the tape from her mouth. She began sobbing and begging, “Please, please you don’t need to do this. I have money okay. I can…”

Lavinia interrupted her, “We’re already in your bank accounts.”

The woman looked bewildered, “What…what is this about? What do you want from me?”

“We have a mutual friend. She got in some trouble. You’re connected to both her and that trouble. You are a loose end.”

“I would never say anything about her. She helped me build my business. I owe her my life.”

“You know I’m really surprised that the real you is such a whiny little bitch. I read your ad you have in that little paper they put out in town. So that was all bullshit?”

“Ma’am, I…”

Lavinia held a knife in front of the woman’s face, “If you call me Ma’am again, I’m gonna fuck you with this knife.”

“I…I’m sorry…”

“You’re a weak pathetic bitch. Do you know that? Say it. Say ‘I’m a weak pathetic bitch.’”

“I’m a weak pathetic bitch.” The woman struggled to stifle her sobs.

Lavinia turned toward us, “This bitch is too weak for us to consume. Her suffering is meaningless, I wouldn’t get off it any more than when I squish an insect under my bootheel. Does anyone want her?”

Black Sally stepped forward, “I’ll take her.”

“If you’re going to keep her, then you have to break her completely, she has to forget who she is. You don’t have the time to put into that.”

“Yes I do. Plus, I have Clarence. I can teach him the process and use her later to help get meat.”

“What Sally? You need a whole crew to do your job now?”

“And how important is my job Lavinia? I bring the meat home to you. I’ll tell YOU what I need to do my job. You tell me when to bring home the meat.”

Lavinia stared into Sally’s eyes for a long moment, “All right Sally. Go ahead and take her. But I’m going to let the girls play with her for awhile first.” Selene smiled a started toward the woman. Black Sally grabbed Selene’s arm, then turned to Lavinia, “No, they are not. Look at her. I can lure almost anyone if I use her. But I can’t use her if she’s disfigured. Nobody touches her.”

Selene jerked her arm away, “Are you fucking kidding me?”

Lavinia turned to Selene, “Don’t worry about it, go back to the house.” Selene stomped out the shed followed by Isabel and Atrese. Lavinia said, “Sally, even the most brilliant tight-rope walkers can fall. You can have it your way as long as you’re up on the rope. Just keep in mind that you don’t have a safety net and it’s a long way to the ground if you fall.” Lavinia walked out the shed.

Black Sally walked up to the woman, “Well, you were smart enough to shut up when I was negotiating for your life.”

The woman asked, “What’s the process?”

“It’s something very unpleasant that you want to avoid. If you can keep your mouth shut and do as your told, it may not be necessary.” Sally cut the woman’s hands loose, grabbed her by the hair, held the knife to her throat and walked her to the house. Sally stopped at the back door, “Clarence, be careful. Selene seems to have a little bit of pent-up frustration going on?”

I quickly leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. She looked me in the eyes and smiled, “You have interesting timing Clarence. I’m taking her to my quarters. Hopefully, I‘ll see you soon.”

After entering the house, Sally took the woman to away. I stopped, leaned against the back door, closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened my eyes, Selene was standing in front of me. The last thing I saw before I lost consciousness was her fist coming straight toward my face.

I woke up the in basement, naked, on the torture table, my wrists and ankles in restraints. I couldn’t see Selene. I could hear her. She was singing, “I think we’re alone now…”
